And So It Is

Our home is in need of a makeover. It doesn't really look like us.  We bought this house from my mother 5 years ago. My mom, brothers and I moved into this home 21 years ago. This house has been through a lot. Three teenagers can really abuse one poor little house. My husband, our son and I moved in a  month before the birth of our daughter. We have made some changes, painted a bazillion times, and it certainly feels like our family home, but it doesn't look like us.

So I want to change that.

Only problem is that in two years we plan on doing a major reno most importantly our KITCHEN!! and more. My imagination for this reno is pretty damn big. I waiver between an addition to something more simple everyday.

So whatever changes I do now are not to cost too much, we must save for two years from now, and yes that is my mantra on the really hard days when I really want to buy something !

This blog is going to be a place to put my thoughts on our home, 406, as all our friends used to call it growing up. Inspiration for the big reno, for the little things I can do now, and little bits of what goes on here in our everday lives making this home Our 406.
